On April 4 , heaven and earth will join hands at LoRefugi with a proposal that promises to thrill all the senses: STARWINES , an experience that combines immersive astronomy and wine tasting in a privileged setting in the heart of Montsant.
LoRefugi will host a mobile planetarium that will offer various audiovisual sessions. A unique opportunity to introduce ourselves to astronomy in a comfortable, spectacular and captivating way. Inside the inflatable dome, participants will live a 360º fulldome experience in 4K resolution , with surround sound , which will transport them directly into the universe. The images cover the entire surface of the dome, generating the real sensation of traveling among stars, planets and distant galaxies.
STARWINES is much more than a projection: it is an immersive way to delve into the mysteries of the cosmos, to awaken curiosity and to reconnect with the immensity that surrounds us.
SENSATIONS OF THE UNIVERSE
In the afternoon, at 5 pm and 6 pm , “Sensations of the Universe” . It is a brief but intense walk through the great mysteries of the cosmos, designed to impact and excite.
From Galileo to the Big Bang , through enigmatic black holes and the possibility of other habitable worlds, this session invites you to experience the most varied sensations: vertigo, fascination, surprise and admiration. A journey that reminds us of human smallness in the face of the immensity of the universe, but also of our infinite capacity to ask, discover and understand.
Astronomy paired with wine
At STARWINES , wine is also the protagonist. The afternoon sessions will be complemented by a tasting of three wines from the Celler Cooperatiu de Cornudella , led by TheWineTruck .
The wines we will taste come from vineyards grown under one of the cleanest night skies in Catalonia , in a territory where the quality of the sky is exceptional. This connection between sky and vineyard gives even more meaning to the experience: while we travel through distant galaxies inside the dome, we taste wines that have grown under these same stars.
