There are moments that only happen once a day. And the sunrise on the Siurana River is one of the most magical. The light mist on the water, the first rays illuminating the valley, the golden reflections breaking the silence of the morning… If you are passionate about landscape photography and nature photography, this activity is for you.

On June 13th, we propose a different photographic experience in Priorat: we will wake up early to capture the purest light of the day and then we will literally dive into the river to explore textures, movements and small details that turn the Siurana River into a spectacular setting for the camera.

The magic of light: sunrise photography

We will meet before dawn to strategically position ourselves in the Siurana River valley. We will work on sunrise photography, learning to read the changing light, control the dynamic range and compose with reflections and natural lines.

During this first part we will delve into key aspects of landscape photography in Priorat:
·
Composition with water lines and riverside vegetation
·
Use of ND and gradient filters
·
Correct exposure in high contrast situations
·
Working with a tripod and long exposure
·
Capture of natural reflections and symmetries

The Priorat is known for its rugged landscapes and vineyards, but the Siurana River offers a more intimate and fresh side of the territory. The morning light enters gently, creating scenes full of unique nuances and atmospheres.

After breakfast… feet in the water!

We’ll take a break for breakfast and share impressions. And then comes the most fun part: we’ll put on good shoes (or get wet) and enter the river to discover hidden corners.

Small waterfalls, cascades, rocks shaped by the passage of time, lush vegetation, fish and insects. Here we will work on the photography of moving water, learning to create the silky effect of water with long exposure techniques.

We will see how:
· Adjust slow speeds to achieve smooth effects
·
Work on stability on uneven terrain
·
Composing with natural elements in the river
·
Capture textures and details in macro nature photography
·
Managing light in shady environments

This second part combines creative landscape photography, technique and an immersive experience with the natural environment.

With the expert eye of Jordi Bru

The activity will be led by Jordi Bru , photographer and biologist. His dual training brings enormous added value to the experience. You will not only learn photographic technique, but you will also understand how the riverside ecosystem works, identify species and learn to move with respect in a living and delicate environment.

His way of teaching is close, practical and very personalized. The goal is not only that you return with good photos of the Siurana River, but that you leave with more judgment, more technical confidence and a more refined perspective.

Nature photography in Priorat: a different experience

This photographic outing on the Siurana River is ideal for people who want to improve their landscape and long exposure photography, experiment with moving water and experience the territory from a creative perspective.

It’s not just a technical session. It’s a way to reconnect with the natural rhythm of the morning, to feel the freshness of the water and to understand that the best photography is often born from calm and observation.

If sunrise photography, moving water and the natural landscapes of Priorat make you vibrate, this June 13th you have a date with the light, the river and your camera.

See you first thing in the morning. And yes… it will be worth getting up early.
