Entrecòdols is a totally immersive wine tourism experience in Priorat , designed for you to discover the world of wine from the vineyard to the bottle , experiencing each stage of the process firsthand. This activity combines landscape, history, wine culture and tastings, and is ideal for all of you who want to delve deeper into wine tourism in Priorat and Montsant in an authentic and complete way.
The experience begins with a guided route in a 4×4 vehicle that takes you to the Hermitage of Sant Joan del Codolar , located at the foot of the Serra de Montsant Natural Park . This spectacular environment, marked by cliffs and silence, is a land of hermits and agricultural tradition, and allows you to understand the ancestral relationship between nature, spirituality and viticulture in the territory.
From here you will begin a walking itinerary among vineyards , following the ancient Carthusian Way , a historical route that connected the monastery of Escaladei with the towns of Priorat. During the tour, you will walk among vines, dry stone banks and cultivated fields, while discovering the vineyard cycle , grape varieties, the work of winegrowers and the influence of soil, climate and orography on the character of DO Montsant and DOQ Priorat wines. By walking through the vineyard, you will understand the origin of the wine and the reason for its unique personality.
The tour ends in Cornudella de Montsant , where the Celler Cooperatiu de Cornudella awaits you, an impressive Modernist-style Wine Cathedral , with more than 100 years of history. During the guided tour of the winery , you will learn about the entire winemaking process: from the arrival of the grapes to bottling, comparing the traditional techniques of our ancestors with current production and marketing systems.
To close the experience, you will enjoy a tasting of vermouth and two wines made in the same winery , which will allow you to add aroma and flavor to everything you have discovered along the way. A tasting that completes the journey of wine, from the vineyard to the bottle , in a unique heritage environment.
