The Tasting of Modernisme is a wine tourism experience that allows you to discover one of the most emblematic buildings of the Priorat, a true Cathedral of Wine with more than 100 years of history. The activity takes place in a century-old Modernist winery, a jewel of Catalan industrial heritage that combines architecture, wine culture and tradition.

This impressive building is the work of Cèsar Martinell, a Valencian architect and direct disciple of Antoni Gaudí, who left an indelible mark on the province of Tarragona with his cooperative wineries. The Celler Cooperatiu de Cornudella de Montsant is a unique monument that captivates as soon as you arrive in the town, with a functional and at the same time monumental architecture, designed to dignify the work of the vineyard and the production of wine.

During the guided tour, participants will be able to tour the spectacular centennial facilities and discover surprising corners that still preserve their original essence. It explains how wine was produced in the past, what techniques our ancestors used and how these have evolved to the current wine production, quality control and marketing systems. This contrast between past and present allows us to better understand the historical and cultural value of these Cathedrals of Wine.

The experience culminates with a wine tasting, where three wines produced in the cooperative are tasted, representative of the territory and the passage of time. Wines that have matured year after year, reflecting the character of Montsant, the climate, the soil and the wisdom accumulated over generations. The tasting is accompanied by quality local products, which complete the experience and enhance the flavors of the wine.
